My first visit to Japan in 1987 changed my view on ceramics and the craft, it changed my life.
Craftsmanship became the basis for being an artist. And after more then twenty-five years and several other visits the influence
of Zen changed my view and work again.
My work and objects are on the edge of domestic ware and unique, single pieces.
It is thrown or hand build stoneware and always in reduction high fired in a gas- or wood kiln.
The self-made glazes are traditional glazes such as shino, celadon, tenmoku and the variations as kaki and teadust.
