The ceramics shall be incurred at the turntable, while the objects usually consist of a combination of rotated shapes and clay paste.
I also work with combinations of porcelain and glass.
Ceramics and particularly wood-fired ceramics, fascinates me in particular by the unpredictability of the combustion process and thus of the results.
It is a true challenge ever to the game that fire plays with the clay, glazes, axes, and to my hand slibs somewhat. I firing my ceramics in a small wood kiln or the anagama. The firing of the anagama lasts five days and four nights. It is very tiring to the intended temperature of 1300 ° c long enough to pick up.
So intensive to deal with the elements earth, water and fire, and to carry out that work outside in. weather and wind, during day and night,
therein lies my motivation.
